A 28-year-old soccer player suffered a cardiac arrest during training and ‘dies’ before being quickly taken back to life by doctors

Ukrainian defender Olev Danchenko was miraculously revived after his heart stopped during training.

The 28-year-old, who is on loan at Zorya Luhansk from AEK Athens, was attending a training camp in Turkey when the horrific incident happened.

Danchenko, who was playing in the Champions League with Shakhtar Donetsk, fell to the ground and went into cardiopulmonary arrest as medical staff rushed to the scene.

According to Skai, an Austrian team member at the scene had a defibrillator and used it on Danchenko.

However, it didn’t seem to work for a while, leaving Danchenko in a “dead” state with no pulse.

He was eventually resuscitated and taken by ambulance to the intensive care unit.

A statement from Shakhtar’s club on social media read: “Wishing Olev Danchenko a speedy recovery”.

A former Shakhtar player suffered a clinical death at a training camp in Turkey.

“Let’s live strong, we are with you”.

Danchenko was in poor health exactly one year after his wife Victoria died in a car accident at the young age of 27.

I was in the car with her when Kia Serrat crashed into a truck and a highway guardrail.

Unfortunately, Victoria died at the scene.

The couple met on a train in 2017 and got married three years later.
