
A Saudi businessman has paid €2.5 million for VIP ticket to see Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi’s PSG match in Riyadh.
Ronaldo will captain Saudi Arabia’s All-Star team in Thursday’s friendly against PSG.
It will be his first appearance in the Middle East since joining Al Nasr from Manchester United.
VIP tickets were sold for €250,000.
Real estate agent Musharraf bin Ahmed Al Ghamdi eventually won the bid for €2.5 million.
Said to be the most expensive ticket in football history, you can meet Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
The VIP tickets are part of a fundraising effort launched by Turki Al-Sheikh, Director General of the Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority.
And the proceeds will be donated to the Ehsan Saudi charity fund.
beIN Sports has acquired broadcast rights to the match across the Middle East/North Africa, France, Turkey, Asia, North America and Australasia.
PSG are currently touring the Middle East and are believed to have earned €10m from their activities.
They will face Saudi Arabia All-Stars XI before flying back to Paris on Friday.
Ronaldo will captain his team in what could be his final encounter with rivals Messi on the pitch.
Al Hilal and Al Nasr players will face the French champions.
