Brutal commute got you down? Tesla employee Nico Murillo (29) feels your pain. To avoid a soul-crushing 1.5‑hour drive, he practically lived out of his car at the Fremont factory for a while. Dedication level:

But guess what? Loyalty doesn’t shield you from layoffs. Tesla recently cut 10% of its workforce (around 14,000 employees!), and Murillo, despite his 5‑year grind, got the boot.

“Badge wouldn’t work. Turned red. Beeped. Like, is this real?” — Murillo on finding out he was laid off.

Ouch. But hey, Murillo’s a trooper. He’s taking his severance package, putting his house up for sale, and hitting the road (literally!) for a new gig as a GNC store manager.

“Think of it like football,” he says. “Things go wrong, other team scores, gotta keep hustlin’.” This dude’s got serious hustle!

Murillo’s story is a wake-up call for all of us. Even all-nighters at work don’t guarantee job security. The tech world’s a wild ride, and workers need more protection! ✊ #TechLayoffs #WorkersRights
