Casemiro is in doubt about Manchester United’s Europa League clash with Real Betis this week

Casemiro is skeptical of Manchester United’s Europa League clash with Real Betis on Thursday.

The Brazilian has been a key player for the Red Devils since signing from Real Madrid for €80m in the summer.

But even he couldn’t prevent Liverpool from losing 7–0 on Sunday.

Casemiro suffered an injury against the Reds, according to ESPN.

He was replaced by Marcel Savitzer in the 77th minute.

Casemiro will be evaluated by medical staff ahead of the Europa League round-of-16 first leg against Betis at Old Trafford.

To date, he has played in all eight Europa League games for the Red Devils this season.

The experienced star played a key role in the 4–3 win against Barcelona.

But he could be on the couch alongside his teammates Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek.

Fred has mostly been Eriksen’s understudy since Eriksen’s injury.

Without Casemiro, Fred could be joined in midfield by Scott McTominay or Sabitzer, who joined in January.

Casemiro has made 35 appearances for United, scoring five goals and providing five assists, as he secured his first Carabao Cup trophy in almost six years.
