DawÂsonâs Creek star Obi NdeÂfo has died at the age of 51, his sisÂter has confirmed.
The actor, who played Katie Holmesâ charÂacÂterâs brothÂer-in-law BodÂie Wells on the show, passed away five years after losÂing both his legs in a horÂrifÂic hit-and-run crash.

Devastating Crash and Aftermath
NdeÂfo was seriÂousÂly injured in an August 2019 hit-and-run crash while loadÂing a coolÂer in his trunk. SurÂgeons were forced to ampuÂtate both of his legs â one was left comÂpleteÂly shatÂtered and the othÂer parÂtialÂly severed.
