Kevin Hart In Tears As Daughter Heaven Leaves Nest For College: ‘My Baby Girl Is Gone’

Come­di­an Kevin Hart fought back tears as he said a bit­ter­sweet good­bye to his daugh­ter Heav­en as she left the nest for her first year of college.

In an emo­tion­al Insta­gram post, the star opened up about dri­ving his 18-year-old to cam­pus for move-in day, admit­ting he broke down and cried in the car afterward.

“I’m not cry­ing [you’re] cry­ing,” Hart wrote along­side a pho­to with Heav­en and his oth­er kids. “So proud of my daughter….I can’t even say lit­tle girl any­more because you have blos­somed into the most amaz­ing young woman ever!”

Call­ing it one of the proud­est and most dif­fi­cult days of his life, the father of four gushed over his eldest child spread­ing her wings. “My baby girl is off to col­lege…. I cried in the car!!!!”

Heav­en’s moth­er Tor­rei Hart also marked the mon­u­men­tal occa­sion on social media, rem­i­nisc­ing about “late study nights, wild cam­pus par­ties” ahead for her freshman.

While emo­tion­al to see his first­born leave home, Hart has been quite vocal about the impor­tance of high­er edu­ca­tion. He pre­vi­ous­ly raved over niece San­ny becom­ing the first in their fam­i­ly to grad­u­ate col­lege and set an exam­ple for Heav­en to follow.

As dif­fi­cult as it is to let go, Hart is thrilled to watch his daugh­ter take on the world. But it’s clear a piece of his heart will always be with Heav­en no mat­ter how far from home she flies.
