Hollywood veterans Russell Crowe and Dakota Johnson find themselves on opposite sides of the superhero movie debate. Johnson recently criticized “Madame Web,” a box office disappointment, for lacking artistic value and prioritizing profit.

Crowe, a seasoned blockbuster actor, took offense to these comments. He argues that Johnson, known for the “Fifty Shades” franchise, might have “misunderstood” the project’s goals.

Crowe emphasizes the dedication behind superhero films and criticizes Johnson for disrespecting the crew’s efforts.

Defending “Madame Web,” Crowe highlights the inherent challenges of the genre. Box office performance shouldn’t define a film’s merit, he argues.
