Stormy Daniels, the adult film star at the center of Donald Trump’s historic hush money trial, has opened up in a Daily Mail podcast about the traumatic abuse she suffered as a child and how her love of horses helped her survive a tumultuous upbringing.

In the first episode of the “Everything I Know About Me: Stormy Daniels” podcast, the 45-year-old reveals that she was sexually abused by a “predator” in her neighborhood when she was just nine years old.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, says she even contemplated going back and “killing” her abuser, though he was already deceased.

Growing up in a small house in Baton Rouge, Louisiana that fell into disrepair after her father left, Daniels always felt sympathetic toward her dad, who “made it very clear that he didn’t want to have children.” Her mother’s frequent disappearances, leaving Daniels susceptible to predators, were another source of trauma.

However, Daniels found solace in her stepmother’s introduction to horseback riding, which became a lifeline during her difficult childhood. “It was nice to get away and have a clean place to sleep at least twice a year,” she recalls of her time spent with her stepmother.

The podcast provides a raw and personal look into Daniels’ life, including her troubled upbringing, controversial career, and the testimony in the Manhattan trial that received global attention. Listeners will gain insight into the woman behind the headlines and her journey to overcome the challenges of her past.
