Alexa predicts the day World War III will begin

There are grow­ing fears of an all-out war between NATO and Rus­sia over West­ern sup­port for Ukraine.

But no one knows when or when World War III will break out.

No one, except for Ama­zon’s arti­fi­cial intel­li­gence assis­tant, Alexa.

In a viral Tik­Tok video, the device responds to a ques­tion about the end of the world by say­ing, “World War III will begin at 18:05 on Novem­ber 23, 2023, and Rus­sia will attack Germany.” .

But while this hor­ri­fy­ing prophe­cy turns out to be true, the orig­i­nal source of the video clip sug­gests it may be the work of a known Tik­Tok trickster.

Some of the most pop­u­lar videos include a hur­ri­cane that will com­plete­ly destroy Mia­mi in 2025 and a video pre­dict­ing the White House can­di­da­cy of pro­fes­sion­al wrestler-turned-action star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

At least the lat­ter seems pret­ty like­ly, as the for­mer WWE star said in 2021 that he would con­sid­er run­ning for polit­i­cal office if there was enough pub­lic demand.

It’s not entire­ly clear how John gets Alexa to make dra­mat­ic pre­dic­tions, but researchers at online fact-check­ing ser­vice Snopes sug­gest he may be using “Alexa blueprints.”
