As PiunikaWeb and viewers point out, the series, which is based on the 1997 manga, has long since been released on December 1st, and is still available on the service in major markets such as the US, UK, and Canada.

In places like Portugal, you can see this series, but not where you would expect it. For now, if you want to watch a 25-episode show, you’ll probably have to rely on a VPN with decent local servers.

We reached out to Netflix for feedback. On the official Berserk website in Japan, there is a countdown that something will come in about 5 days, but this is not an original anime work, but a “Memorial Edition” cut from the 2012 TV movie trilogy.

It seems to be referring to Considering the pros and cons of the 10-year-old work, it may be best to wait for a well-received predecessor.

The classic Berserk is a dark, cold-hearted fantasy story that spans the Golden Age of comics, in which Guts teams up with key characters like Casca and Griffith.

The work is said to be the masterpiece of manga adaptation, and is said to have influenced legendary anime such as “Attack on Titan” and “Fullmetal Alchemist”.

Regional releases are nothing new to Netflix. The company has a history of internationally distributing programs that are only available on rival services in the United States.

However, Netflix has purchased the worldwide distribution rights to popular anime series such as Berserk through a deal with Nippon Television.

In theory, nothing prevents a wider launch. But if you want to watch Japanese anime this winter, you may have no choice but to make do with Netflix’s many alternatives and series.
