The producer of 2017’s hit comedy Girls Trip has just officially announced that the film will finally have a sequel. As Good Morning America discussed the upcoming 2022 Oscars he’s set to produce, Will Packer announced that the sequel is “on the way.” The film stars Hollywood’s favorite ladies, Queen Latifah, Regina Hall, Jada Pinkett Smith and Tiffany Haddish.
“Can’t we all use post-pandemic travel, my friend? I think the time has actually come, and that’s something that I’m going to tell you and I’m going to tell you right now at GMA: the sequel to Girls Trip 2, we’re on the way,” Packer told host Michael Strahan on the show.
“We are absolutely in the stages, the ladies are here, I just spoke to the director,” he added. “We’re launching Girls Trip 2, and now it’s pretty much about what kind of trip do we do, right? Post-pandemic with all of our favorite madwomen, what is it? what do we do with it? That’s what we have to understand.”
