Chelsea are poised to win the race for Christopher Nukunku next summer.
Nknunku has been linked with Manchester United in the past, but Chelsea are likely to win the race after undergoing a medical for a transfer next summer.
According to journalist Christian Falk, Nkunku underwent a medical in Frankfurt earlier this month.
This is in anticipation of a transfer fee of €60 million from RB Leipzig to Chelsea.
Nkunku was voted the best player in the Bundesliga for his performances last season.
The season got off to a great start, scoring six goals in 11 appearances.
Nkunku was “honored” by the interest from clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
Summer said, “It’s a known fact, there’s a club that’s interested in me.”
“I’m very happy that a club like Leipzig will do everything in their power to keep me.
You have to “reflect” and “decide”. The upcoming World Cup is also a factor to consider. ”
However, Nkunku signed a two-year contract extension with Leipzig in June, which will keep him at Leipzig until 2026.
But Chelsea’s interest in him cut him three years short.
Bruce is looking to bring in a ton of top-class talent to revamp his aging midfield.
Among them are former academy star Declan Rice, fellow England midfielder Jude Bellingham and Frenchman Nkunku.
