The Barcelona city side has become one of the city’s main tourist attractions.

The Portuguese legend was sidelined in Sunday’s 6–3 defeat to Manchester City, but the manager said he did so “out of respect for his great career”.

The Telegraph reports that he “hopes to move in January” after failing to leave this summer.

Ten Hag wanted to keep the 37-year-old Portuguese striker at Old Trafford as soon as he arrived.

However, according to this report, if there is a convincing offer, he is “positive to leave”.

The veteran player has been sidelined this season after a controversial run this summer.

Undecided Ronaldo returned late to pre-season training.

As a result, he was placed on the bench in the opening match against Brighton.

He returned to the starting line-up the following week but was humiliated along with his team-mates in a 4–0 crushing defeat to Brentford.

Ronaldo was then relegated to the bench as United went on to win four consecutive top-flight wins.

However, despite having another chance in the Europa League, the Red Devils lost at home to Real Sociedad and it was a clean slate.

A week later, however, the superstar was in top form as he scored a penalty against Sheriff in the same competition on 15 September, making it his final game for the club.

Now that substitute Anthony Martial has returned from injury and scored twice against City, his chances of becoming a regular again seem even slimmer.
