Erling Haaland says he is sometimes unstoppable.
The Manchester City striker made his England career a record, scoring a staggering 14 goals in his first nine games as champions.
He has already scored two hat-tricks and is holding back from trying to break the record in Sunday afternoon’s derby.
And he believes that when Haaland is performing at his best, no defender stands in his way.
The 22-year-old Norwegian said, “He knows that if he runs with perfect timing, no one can stop him.”
He was Europe’s most wanted man when he left Borussia Dortmund this summer, but he had only one destination in mind.
The chance to work under Pep Guardiola was a one-on-one match and the City boss has lived up to all expectations.
The day before the game he told me what was going to happen and the next day it was exactly that.
“That’s funny! I don’t understand how that’s even possible!”
The 180-centimeter striker is already set to close out the season as the Premier League’s top scorer, with many predicting his goalscoring streak in half a century.
Especially with his father, former City star Alfie, in attendance, he will be keen to continue his winning streak in his first ever Manchester showdown.
In 2001, Roy Keane was sent off for an embarrassing tackle, witnessing the most famous match in Derby history.
Haaland insists he never discussed this, or the Derby, with his father.
I haven’t spoken to his father about this match, but I’m sure he’ll be watching in the stands,” he said.
“I think it means a lot to the supporters and as a fan I know that. I want to make them proud. I think the derby is much more intense and it’s all at stake for the fans. increase”.
“I’ve watched it on TV with my dad a lot, but it’s the first time I’m competing, so I can’t wait. It’s going to be a special moment for me.
“I don’t think there’s much to say. All I want to say is ‘I’m ready.’
