Germany’s players have been given permission to invite their partners to the team hotel before an important World Cup match.

The player’s partner has been given permission to stay at a luxury resort for two nights, reports Bild.

Many of the players’ wives and lovers are in Qatar and were spotted in the stands when Germany drew 1–1 with Spain.

They then traveled to the remote Zlar Wellness Resort, a suburb of Doha in the north of the country.

Rooms from $800 to $20,000 per night.

Kai Huberts’ girlfriend Sophia Weber and Kevin Trapp’s fiancée Isabelle Goulart have passed through the team base.

Christina Ginter, who married defender Matthias, complained that the air conditioning in the stadium made her body too cold and she wanted to stay warm with her husband.

Especially if Germany, who missed out on advancing to the knockout rounds in 2018, fails to break through the group stage, the decision to retain them could be controversial.

Germany lost their opening game to Japan, drew with Spain, and next face Costa Rica on Thursday.

The four-time world champion is bottom of the group and will have to hope that Costa Rica can be beaten and Spain can beat Japan to secure their place.

The hotel where the players are staying is located 111 kilometers from the capital, which will host the World Cup.

Hans Flick cited “the isolation of the region and the distance from the main cities” as the reason why the players did not accompany him to the pre-match press conference.

This is against FIFA rules and the German federation will be fined.

Tensions run high between them and the authorities following the photo of the Germany national team against Japan, where the OneLove armband was banned and the players covered their mouths in retaliation.
