Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Jude Bellingham and Frenkie De Jong next summer.
The Red Devils are not planning a major team overhaul in January as Erik Ten Hag waits until the end of the season.
But according to ESPN, De Jong and Bellingham are high on the manager’s wish list.
Manchester United have been on the hunt for De Jong over the summer and Ten Hag is keen to reunite with the Dutchman he trained at Ajax.
However, the deal did not materialize and the player remained at Barcelona.
Bellingham, meanwhile, has promised to stay at Borussia Dortmund for another season, but plans to leave in the summer.
The 19-year-old is one of the hottest teenagers in world football.
That’s why top European clubs such as Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid are interested in signing him.
But Manchester United are confident they can beat all the competition and bring him to Old Trafford.
Bellingham has been in form since joining Dortmund and showed his world-class talent in England’s 3–3 draw with Germany on Monday.
United boss Ten Hag believes De Jong and Bellingham will bring his team closer to the style of play he wants.
The red devil boss has lost two matches since taking office, against Brighton and Brentford.
Since then, he has taken a more realistic approach and has won four consecutive Premier League titles.
However, Bellingham and De Jong are the types of midfield players who can thrive in such a system, and the Dutch manager will likely want to move to a possession-based style in the future.
