While there are plenty of streaming options to choose from at this year’s Game Awards, Valve is looking to make the Steam TV coverage even more compelling by offering a plethora of Steam Deck consoles.
The video game developer and publisher announced that it will be giving away a 512GB Steam Deck every minute during its awards gala livestream on December 8th.
To participate, you must be watching the event on Steam TV starting at 19:30. ET, registration on the official sweepstakes page is required in advance.
Only those residing in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the EU, where game consoles are currently sold, can register and apply.
You must also prove that your Steam purchase was made between November 14, 2021 and November 14, 2022, your country has been verified, and your account is not restricted and in good standing.
Valve will randomly draw one name from all registrants every minute during the event and announce the winner in chat each time the draw takes place.
In addition, the program is scheduled for about two and a half hours, and more than 100 steam decks will be hit.
The 2022 Game Awards will not only be available for online streaming, but will also feature live “IMAX Experiences” in select cities in the United States, Canada and other regions.
Also new this year is the Best Adaptation category for projects that translate games into movies, TV shows, podcasts and books.
