MUSIC: Chris Brown accused of drugging and raping a woman a night on a yacht.

The alleged assault allegedly took place on a yacht on December 30, 2020 in Miami, Florida.

Radio 1 Newsbeat has contacted Chris Brown’s management and label for comment, but they have yet to respond.

Chris Brown has seemingly responded on his Instagram Story, suggesting he’s being sued for releasing new music.

“I HOPE YOU ALL SEE THIS PATTERN…every time I post music or projects [sic],” he wrote.

The lawsuit was brought by an unidentified professional dancer and musician, who is named only “Jane Doe” in the legal documents.

The documents detail five separate allegations against the singer – sexual assault, violation of gender-based violence law, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress and forcible confinement.

The woman says she “fears for her life and her career”.

She says she was invited to a yacht at an owner’s house by rapper and producer Diddy, where the alleged incident took place.

Alleged victim claims she became ‘disoriented’ after getting a drink from Chris Brown
According to the document, seen by Newsbeat, the woman claims that Brown offered her drinks after she arrived, and then felt “a sudden and unexplained shift in consciousness.”

He claims she became “disoriented, physically unstable and began to drift and fall asleep”, before being taken to a bedroom where Brown allegedly stripped her and raped her.

Brown reportedly contacted the woman the next day, telling her to take emergency contraception.

Newsbeat has also attempted to contact representatives for Diddy, but has yet to hear back.
