According to a TMZ report on Tuesday, December 28, the legendary producer and his 24-year-old ex-wife have reached an agreement on their legal separation. Nicole will receive $ 50 million now and an additional $ 50 million in a year, which equates to a payment of $ 100 million in total.
Dre, who has an estimated net worth of $ 820 million, did not have to pay half of his earnings due to their prenuptial agreement.
The Compton native retains the seven properties he and Nicole own: one mansion in Malibu, two homes in Calabasas, Calif. And four properties in Los Angeles, including their $ 100 million estate in the Brentwood section of L.A.
Dre further obtains full possession of its master recordings, trademarks and interests in partnerships and trusts, as well as their Apple stock, which includes the proceeds from the sale of Beats by Dre.
As for Dr. Dre and Nicole’s vehicles, they’ve split their fleet of cars, Dre will get six and Nicole will get four. The types of cars were not specified.
As for Nicole, she will keep her jewelry, money and the bank accounts she had during the wedding. However, she is responsible for her own legal fees, which a judge allegedly ordered Dre to pay a portion of $ 500,000 by May 7. Nicole’s legal fees are said to be in the millions of dollars.
Nicole also keeps the objects of their different houses which belong to her and which have been stored.
The divorce settlement also voids any spousal support, which Nicole had received $ 2 million a month on a temporary basis from earlier this year. Child support was also not a discussion as the two share adult children: a son named Truice and a daughter named Truly.
In April, Dr Dre and Nicole Young filed documents to legalize their single status, which was approved at that time despite their divorce not having been finalized.
