AccordÂing to US media, Migos rapÂper TakeÂoff has been shot dead in Houston.
The rapÂper was killed TuesÂday mornÂing at a bowlÂing alley while playÂing dice with his uncle and band memÂber QuaÂvo, police told Variety.
The star, whose real name is KirÂshinik Kali Bor, was 28 years old.
One of the most influÂenÂtial groups of their genÂerÂaÂtion, the Migos pioÂneered a chopÂpy triplet rapÂping style called the âMigos Flowâ.
The band, which broke up earÂliÂer this year, proÂduced a numÂber of globÂal hits, includÂing âBad and BouÂjee,â âVerÂsace,â and âWalk It Talk It.â
Around 02:30 local time (07:30 Japan time), there was a shootÂing on the outÂside balÂcony of 810 BilÂliards and BowlÂing Alley in Houston.
Police said 40 to 50 guests were attendÂing a priÂvate parÂty at the venue when someÂone opened fire. SecuÂriÂty guards in the area heard gunÂshots, but did not see who fired.
When they arrived, there were a lot of peoÂple, and a man had been shot in the head or neck, he said. He was conÂfirmed dead at the scene.
Police said they are studyÂing CCTV footage of the inciÂdent and appealÂing to the pubÂlic for information.
TakeÂoff preÂviÂousÂly postÂed a picÂture of himÂself at the bowlÂing alley on InstaÂgram. Images of the crime scene cirÂcuÂlatÂed on social media showed a simÂiÂlarÂly dressed man lying down.
There are no conÂfirmed reports that QuaÂvo was also injured in the inciÂdent. Two othÂer vicÂtims were takÂen to hosÂpiÂtal in priÂvate vehiÂcles, police said.
