Neymar has been linked with a shock return to Barcelona after being put up for sale by Paris Saint-Germain and booed by club fans.
Neymar left Barca for PSG for £198million in 2017.
But his days in the French capital appear to be numbered after club fans booed the 30-year-old for his role in the Parisians’ Champions League exit at the hands of Real Madrid last week.
Neymar — along with team-mate Lionel Messi — also felt the vicious wrath of the furious PSG faithful in the club’s 3–0 league win over Bordeaux.
Not even a goal from Neymar was enough to drown out the noise of the boo-boys.
And now it looks like the PSG hierarchy have also lost patience with the Brazil international.
According to Football Espana, the French titans are keen to offload the striker this summer and have touted him at several clubs, including Barcelona.
But Neymar won’t come cheap and PSG are likely to want the majority of the £198million they paid him back.
And Barca’s new £237m sponsorship deal with Spotify will provide the Catalan giants with the cash to reunite with Neymar.
The content streaming service has signed a three-season deal to have its logo on the shirts and training kits of the Blaugrana men’s and women’s teams.
If Xavi’s side accept PSG on their proposed offer, Neymar will join former Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang in a new attack.
Aubameyang has been in fine form since joining Barca, hitting the net six times in nine appearances in all competitions.
And the Gabonese’s feat of five goals in six La Liga appearances for the Blaugrana is something no one has done since Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2009.
