Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has been rushed to hospital for surgery after suffering from severe abdominal pain

Anto­nio Con­te suf­fered severe stom­ach pains and was rushed to the hos­pi­tal for gall­blad­der surgery.

Tot­ten­ham have revealed their man­ag­er has been diag­nosed with chole­cys­ti­tis, an inflam­ma­tion of the gallbladder.

In the future, he will under­go surgery to remove his gallbladder.

A Spurs state­ment con­firmed: “Anto­nio Con­te has recent­ly suf­fered from severe stom­ach pains.”

He was diag­nosed with chole­cys­ti­tis and will have surgery to remove his gall­blad­der today and will return after recovery.”

Con­te’s with­draw­al peri­od is unknown.

How­ev­er, he could miss the cru­cial game against Man­ches­ter City at Tot­ten­ham’s home, with assis­tant Chris­t­ian Stelli­ni like­ly to take over for him.
