Mohamed Salah is ready for a move to Barcelona, with the Spanish giants considering a deal this summer, according to reports.
The Liverpool striker’s future is uncertain with his current contract up to 2023.
Barcelona are trying to take advantage of this situation and see Salah as a cheaper alternative to another transfer target — Erling Haaland.
And the Blaugrana are reportedly willing to spend £58 million to land the Egyptian, according to Spanish media outlet Sport.
Liverpool would probably want more than that, but with Salah’s contract expiring in 2023, they may have to reduce their asking price.
The report highlights that the Reds could place a valuation of £83 million on Salah.
And Liverpool could even put Salah on the transfer list this summer if they fail to agree new terms by then.
There has been speculation around Salah’s new contract with the player determined to receive a salary that matches his talents.
He spoke on the issue saying, “I want to stay, but it’s not in my hands. It’s in their hands.
“They know what I want. I’m not asking for crazy stuff.”
