Paul Pova says Juventus fans are better than Manchester United fans and has revealed that he was in touch with Massimiliano Allegri when he was at Old Trafford.
The 29-year-old Frenchman joined Juventus on a free transfer this summer after six years at United.
And Pogba says he is happy to be back in Turin, where he “felt the love” of the fans as a young player during his four years at Juventus from 2012–16.
That affection was not shown by Man UT fans.
Speaking to GQ, Pogba said: “When I left they were so grateful for the years we spent together.
“Since I was young, they really always pushed me into the stadium, they were always behind me, I always felt the love from these fans, this is true.
“I’ve never heard anything this loud, even in Manchester.”
Pogba said his decision to return to Juventus was “in the heart”, but he also revealed that he kept in touch with Allegri while playing for United.
Pogba has always admired the special relationship he had with the Italian player who pushed him to become a better player.
He added: “I have always had a strong bond with the director. Handsome and honest.
“He knew me and always had my back when we were here together.
“We kept in touch and talked a lot when he was in Manchester.”
Pogba returned to Old Trafford for €105m, but was plagued with injuries and missed 100 appearances.
And his injury problems continue even after returning to Italy.
Pogba has yet to play for Juve after missing the start of the season after undergoing knee surgery.
However, Pogba is hoping to get back in shape and help Juve regain Serie A after losing to Inter and AC Milan in the past two seasons.
Juve are now eighth after seven games, seven points behind leaders Napoli.
Pogba said: “I like to think that it was my heart that made the decision.
“It’s no surprise that my last three years at Manchester haven’t gone as well as I’d hoped, partly because of injuries.
