Mohamed Salah reached 200 total goals in English football with a double for Liverpool in their 3–0 victory over Brentford.
The Egyptian put the Reds in control at Anfield, matching them on points with league leaders Manchester City. Salah has 198 for Liverpool and two for former club Chelsea, becoming one of the most prolific scorers in the history of English football.
In addition, Salah continued his incredible record at Anfield, scoring in 14 of his last 15 home league matches. He has now matched Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer with goals or assists in 15 straight Premier League games at home. With 14 so far this season, Salah has the most combined goals and assists in the English football top-flight.
He opened the scoring in the 39th minute, coolly finishing from the edge of the box. Salah’s second came just after halftime, tapping in a low cross at the far post. Diogo Jota added Liverpool’s third to wrap up three points.
Salah previously spent one season at Roma after scoring twice in 19 games for Chelsea earlier in his career. But he has become a lethal scorer in England since joining Liverpool in 2017, netting over 30 goals in three separate campaigns.
