Kylian Mbappé has resumed training with Paris Saint-Germain’s first team after being sidelined due to his contract situation. The star forward did not play in PSG’s 0–0 draw with Lorient in their league opener, as he has not agreed to a new deal.
Mbappé had positive talks with the club and rejoined his teammates on Sunday, according to a PSG statement. The France international had skipped PSG’s pre-season tour of Asia amid the contract standoff.
Mbappé, who has been linked to Real Madrid, could leave PSG for free next year when his contract expires. PSG want to sell him this summer and avoid losing him for nothing.
The 23-year-old trained with players who were not heavily involved against Lorient. It is unclear if he will play in PSG’s next league match at Toulouse on Saturday.
PSG have also lost Lionel Messi and could sell Neymar this summer. But they have signed Ousmane Dembele to strengthen their attack.
