Mbappé back in PSG training amid contract talks

Kylian Mbap­pé has resumed train­ing with Paris Saint-Ger­main’s first team after being side­lined due to his con­tract sit­u­a­tion. The star for­ward did not play in PSG’s 0–0 draw with Lori­ent in their league open­er, as he has not agreed to a new deal.

Mbap­pé had pos­i­tive talks with the club and rejoined his team­mates on Sun­day, accord­ing to a PSG state­ment. The France inter­na­tion­al had skipped PSG’s pre-sea­son tour of Asia amid the con­tract standoff.

Mbap­pé, who has been linked to Real Madrid, could leave PSG for free next year when his con­tract expires. PSG want to sell him this sum­mer and avoid los­ing him for nothing.

The 23-year-old trained with play­ers who were not heav­i­ly involved against Lori­ent. It is unclear if he will play in PSG’s next league match at Toulouse on Saturday.

PSG have also lost Lionel Mes­si and could sell Ney­mar this sum­mer. But they have signed Ous­mane Dem­bele to strength­en their attack.
