Prince William channeled the fervor of an entire nation as he watched England’s dramatic penalty shootout win over Switzerland at the European Championships in Dusseldorf, Germany.

The future king’s expressions — from fist-pumping elation to anguished despair — mirrored the rollercoaster of emotions felt by Three Lions supporters throughout the nail-biting quarter-final clash.

Donning a navy suit and blue tie, the President of the FA was a picture of nervous tension as he sat alongside UEFA officials in the Dusseldorf Arena.

William’s joy was palpable when Bukayo Saka’s late equalizer took the game to extra time, and his unbridled delight was on full display as Trent Alexander-Arnold stepped up to score the decisive penalty.

The Prince’s reactions encapsulated the experience of England fans nationwide, as Gareth Southgate’s side booked their place in the semi-finals with a hard-fought victory.

William’s animated display underscored his deep passion for the national team, and his wholehearted investment in their Euros campaign.
