Paris Saint-Germain are bracing for a mammoth €230 million bid from Chelsea for striker Kylian Mbappé following a covert phone call between new Blues owner Todd Boehly and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, according to reports in France.
The call has PSG convinced that big-spending Chelsea are readying a record-shattering offer for Mbappé before the transfer window closes. With the French superstar’s contract expiring next summer, PSG are desperate to cash in now rather than lose their prized asset on a free transfer to Real Madrid.
Boehly has already plunged over €170 million into new Chelsea signings since taking over the club. But capturing Mbappé would be his biggest coup yet in his bid to rebuild the Blues into a European powerhouse. At just 23, the World Cup winner is already considered one of the top talents in football.
