Chelsea midfielder Jorginho could leave the club on a free loan at the end of the season.
The Italian midfielder’s contract expires after the current Premier League campaign ends.
According to The Telegraph, the Blues want to end his deal in favor of N’Golo Kante and Mason Mount.
Jorginho is now free to negotiate with clubs abroad and is reportedly more likely to return to Serie A or move elsewhere than remain at Stamford Bridge.
Unless Chelsea persuade him to stay with a big deal.
He joined Napoli for €56m in 2018 and helped them win the Champions League, Club World Cup, Europa League and UEFA Super Cup.
However, like many other players, he has been subpar this season.
The Blues have a number of players whose contracts are expiring and are expected to agree deals with two other midfielders.
Kante has yet to play under new manager Graham Potter due to injury, but is considered one of the best in the world at this position.
Bruce believes he’s more likely to agree to a new contract than to leave as a free agent this summer.
Meanwhile, Mount is under contract until the end of next season.
Chelsea want to re-sign the English player and avoid the risk of him moving to another club.
Bruce is already looking for an Italian replacement and has listed five candidates, including England duo Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice.
