Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Arrested in NYC Sex Trafficking Probe
Embattled rapper and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested at a New York City hotel on Monday night by Homeland Security Investigations amid a federal sex trafficking investigation, officials said.
Combs Faces Federal Charges
Combs, 54, voluntarily traveled to New York in anticipation of his arrest on federal charges stemming from a grand jury indictment. He is expected to be arraigned in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday, at which point the specific charges against him will be unsealed.
Allegations of Abuse and Trafficking
Combs has recently been accused of repeated instances of sexual and physical abuse against numerous women, including his former girlfriend R&B singer Cassie Ventura. In a lawsuit, Ventura alleged years of abuse, including beatings, rapes, and forcing her to have sex with others while he filmed the encounters.
Raids on Combs’ Homes
In March 2024, Combs’ homes in Beverly Hills and Miami were simultaneously raided by Homeland Security agents, believed to be part of the ongoing sex trafficking investigation. Authorities were reportedly seeking to seize phones and computers as part of the probe.
Combs Denies Wrongdoing, Claims Innocence
Combs has denied all allegations against him, calling the plaintiffs “looking for a quick payday.” His lawyer stated that Combs is “an imperfect person but is not a criminal” and that he has been cooperative with the investigation.
Ongoing Investigation and Victims’ Testimony
Several alleged victims have been interviewed by New York prosecutors in connection with the sex trafficking allegations and a RICO case against Combs. The investigation appears to be building a wider case against the music mogul.
