Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Arrested in NYC Sex Trafficking Probe

Embat­tled rap­per and music mogul Sean “Did­dy” Combs was arrest­ed at a New York City hotel on Mon­day night by Home­land Secu­ri­ty Inves­ti­ga­tions amid a fed­er­al sex traf­fick­ing inves­ti­ga­tion, offi­cials said.

Combs Faces Federal Charges

Combs, 54, vol­un­tar­i­ly trav­eled to New York in antic­i­pa­tion of his arrest on fed­er­al charges stem­ming from a grand jury indict­ment. He is expect­ed to be arraigned in Man­hat­tan fed­er­al court on Tues­day, at which point the spe­cif­ic charges against him will be unsealed.

Allegations of Abuse and Trafficking

Combs has recent­ly been accused of repeat­ed instances of sex­u­al and phys­i­cal abuse against numer­ous women, includ­ing his for­mer girl­friend R&B singer Cassie Ven­tu­ra. In a law­suit, Ven­tu­ra alleged years of abuse, includ­ing beat­ings, rapes, and forc­ing her to have sex with oth­ers while he filmed the encounters.

Raids on Combs’ Homes

In March 2024, Combs’ homes in Bev­er­ly Hills and Mia­mi were simul­ta­ne­ous­ly raid­ed by Home­land Secu­ri­ty agents, believed to be part of the ongo­ing sex traf­fick­ing inves­ti­ga­tion. Author­i­ties were report­ed­ly seek­ing to seize phones and com­put­ers as part of the probe.

Combs Denies Wrongdoing, Claims Innocence

Combs has denied all alle­ga­tions against him, call­ing the plain­tiffs “look­ing for a quick pay­day.” His lawyer stat­ed that Combs is “an imper­fect per­son but is not a crim­i­nal” and that he has been coop­er­a­tive with the investigation.

Ongoing Investigation and Victims’ Testimony

Sev­er­al alleged vic­tims have been inter­viewed by New York pros­e­cu­tors in con­nec­tion with the sex traf­fick­ing alle­ga­tions and a RICO case against Combs. The inves­ti­ga­tion appears to be build­ing a wider case against the music mogul.
