Florida authorities raided the home of rapper Sean Kingston on Thursday, arresting his mother in connection with an alleged scam involving a $150,000 entertainment system.

The Broward Coun¬≠ty Sher¬≠if¬≠f‚Äôs Office and Davie Police SWAT team exe¬≠cut¬≠ed search and arrest war¬≠rants at Kingston‚Äôs lux¬≠u¬≠ri¬≠ous South¬≠west Ranch¬≠es prop¬≠er¬≠ty. His moth¬≠er, Jan¬≠ice Turn¬≠er (61), faces ‚Äúnumer¬≠ous‚ÄĚ fraud and theft charges.

Ver Ver Enter¬≠tain¬≠ment LLC filed a law¬≠suit against Kingston in Feb¬≠ru¬≠ary, claim¬≠ing he pur¬≠chased a mas¬≠sive tele¬≠vi¬≠sion and sound sys¬≠tem (total¬≠ing $111,000) with the promise of pro¬≠mo¬≠tion¬≠al videos fea¬≠tur¬≠ing Justin Bieber. The law¬≠suit alleges these videos were nev¬≠er pro¬≠duced and that Kingston has a his¬≠to¬≠ry of fail¬≠ing to pay for lux¬≠u¬≠ry goods.

An attorney for Ver Ver Entertainment accuses Kingston of using his celebrity status to obtain high-priced items without fulfilling payment obligations.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities seeking to expand their search within Kingston’s residence. Neither Kingston nor his representatives have commented on the situation.
