Dawn Richard Accuses Combs of Abuse
Former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard has sued Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, alleging that the rapper ‘terrorized and sexually abused’ her during her time on his MTV series Making the Band and as part of his girl group.
Alleged Mistreatment and Verbal Abuse
In the lawsuit, Richard claims Combs forced her to endure punishing 48-hour rehearsals without breaks, leading to health issues. She also alleges he verbally abused female contestants, calling them derogatory names.
Accusations of Sexual Misconduct
Richard further alleges that Combs inappropriately touched her, entering her dressing room while she was undressed and placing his hands on her breasts and buttocks. She also claims he locked her in a car for two hours.
Witnessing Abuse of Other Women
The singer says she witnessed Combs physically assaulting his ex-girlfriends Kim Porter and Cassie, including throwing a hot pan of eggs at Cassie.
Combs’ Legal Troubles Mounting
The lawsuit comes amid Combs’ growing legal problems, including a recent $100 million default judgment over sexual assault allegations and another $30 million lawsuit for alleged groping and rape.
Reactions from Former Bandmates
Combs’ former Danity Kane bandmate Aubrey O’Day has spoken out in support of Cassie, claiming she was the first to stand up for her when she accused Combs of sexual abuse.
