23-Year-Old Mom Missing with Daughters in Kansas: Police Suspect Religious Cult

A 23-year-old moth­er, Martha Unger, and her two young daugh­ters, Madi­lynn Grace (2) and Haylie Faith (1), are miss­ing from Haskell Coun­ty, Kansas. The Kansas Bureau of Inves­ti­ga­tion (KBI) issued an endan­gered per­sons advi­so­ry after their disappearance.

Police sus­pect foul play, believ­ing Martha may have been coerced into trav­el­ing to Mex­i­co with a mid­dle-aged cou­ple, Cor­ney and Eliz­a­beth Klaasen, who are pos­si­bly affil­i­at­ed with a reli­gious reha­bil­i­ta­tion facility.

Martha Unger is a white female, approx­i­mate­ly 5′6″ with brown hair and green eyes. Her daugh­ters have blonde hair and blue eyes. They may be trav­el­ing in a white 2015 Ford Explor­er (Kansas plate 301RJY). The Klaasens might be in a black and white Chevy Blaz­er with Mex­i­co license plates.

Any­one with infor­ma­tion about Martha Unger, Madi­lynn Grace Unger, Haylie Faith Unger, Cor­ney Klaasen, or Eliz­a­beth Klaasen is urged to call 911 imme­di­ate­ly. The com­mu­ni­ty and author­i­ties are des­per­ate­ly search­ing for the miss­ing fam­i­ly’s safe return.
