In a disturbing incident, a man in Brooklyn robbed two sisters of their gold necklaces while assaulting the younger girl. The NYPD is searching for the suspect.

The robbery occurred on Wednesday near Eastern Parkway and Ralph Avenue in Crown Heights. The suspect, believed to be 25–40 years old, confronted the girls in their apartment building’s lobby and demanded their jewelry.

“He grabbed me by the neck,” the 14-year-old girl told ABC 7. “I only looked at my sister, and she was screaming.”

The suspect choked the 6‑year-old girl while stealing her necklace, then took the older sister’s jewelry before fleeing. Both girls received treatment at Maimonides Medical Center and are recovering.

The suspect is described as approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with dark hair in a ponytail. He was carrying a Target shopping bag and later donned a gray hooded sweatshirt.

The NYPD released images of the suspect and is seeking the public’s help in identifying and apprehending him. This crime has shocked the community, and authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
