Bush Declines to Endorse 2024 Candidates

Former President George W. Bush has stated that he will not be making a public endorsement in the 2024 presidential election.

This decision comes after his former Vice President, Dick Cheney, caused shockwaves by revealing he plans to cross party lines and vote for Kamala Harris.

Cheney Backs Harris, Criticizes Trump

Cheney, who served as Bush’s VP for two terms, said he believes Donald Trump “is a greater threat to our republic than any individual I’ve encountered in my lifetime.”

He added that he will be casting his vote for Vice President Kamala Harris, describing it as a matter of putting “country above partisanship.”

Bush Maintains Distance from Politics

Bush’s spokesman stated that the former president has “retired from presidential politics many years ago” and has no plans to make a public endorsement.

Neither Bush nor his wife Laura will be revealing who they plan to vote for in the upcoming election.

Divided Republican Party

The decision by both the Cheneys to back the Democratic candidate has further highlighted the divisions within the Republican party.

Trump has lashed out at the Cheneys, calling Dick Cheney an “irrelevant RINO” (Republican in Name Only).
