A man, 37, died after being brutally bitten by a fierce dog in Leigh, Greater Manchester, in UK last night. The horrifying incident happened around 9:10 pm on Thursday when police received a distress call about a man being assaulted by a menacing dog.
Emergency services and armed police officers arrived at the scene in Westleigh Lane and discovered the victim with severe injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but sadly passed away in the early hours of Friday morning.
To protect the public and stop the threat, armed officers had to shoot and kill the hostile animal that remained dangerously unruly. A 24-year-old man suspected to be the dog’s owner was arrested on charges of having a savage dog that caused fatal injury.
