A 60-year-old Disneyland employee tragically died after falling from a moving golf cart in a backstage area of the Anaheim, California theme park.

Bonnye Lear, a longtime cast member of 24 years who worked in membership services at the exclusive Club 33, suffered severe head trauma when she fell from the rear of the moving cart on June 5th.

Emergency responders rushed Lear to a local hospital, but she was later declared brain dead and passed away on June 7th.

Disney Resort President Ken Potrock expressed the company’s heartbreak over Lear’s death, offering condolences to her family and fellow cast members.

The incident has sparked controversy, with a fellow Disneyland employee claiming managers told cast members to “keep quiet” about the circumstances of Lear’s death.

This tragic event serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of safety protocols, even in the most magical of theme park environments.
