Elon Musk’s Son, 17, Reduces Carbon Footprint by Going Vegetarian at Age 8

Elon Musk’s son Dami­an embraced envi­ron­men­tal­ism at a young age. Accord­ing to a new Musk biog­ra­phy, the 17-year-old announced at just 8 that he was becom­ing vegetarian. 

When asked why, Dami­an replied “To decrease my car­bon foot­print.” Author Wal­ter Isaac­son high­lights Dami­an’s ear­ly ded­i­ca­tion to sus­tain­abil­i­ty. Beyond his diet, Dami­an excelled aca­d­e­m­i­cal­ly in fields like math, music, and science. 

Musk’s moth­er even felt Dami­an sur­passed his father’s bril­liance. Elon shares sev­en kids total with ex Jus­tine Wil­son and singer Grimes. The entre­pre­neur wel­comed twins, then triplets with Wil­son from 2002 to 2006, before two more sets of twins in Novem­ber 2021 and with Grimes from 2020 to 2022. 

While main­tain­ing his siz­able brood, Musk has also fathered addi­tion­al chil­dren whose births weren’t made pub­lic. The SpaceX founder acknowl­edged the poten­tial for more kids if he can be a capa­ble par­ent. Dami­an showed ear­ly the com­mit­ment to cli­mate his famous father is now known for through technology.
