An ex-convict who was once a contestant on “Jeopardy!” has been arrested as an elite New York City private school investigates him over the alleged spread of explicit photos on social media.

Winston Nguyen, a math teacher at the prestigious St. Ann’s School in Brooklyn Heights, was arrested last Thursday in front of students.

Nguyen, who served time at Rikers Island for stealing $300,000 from an elderly couple, was not charged but is being investigated by the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office.

The school confirmed that Nguyen is a suspect in an ongoing investigation related to the “dissemination of intimate images via social media.” He has been placed on leave by the school as the probe continues.

St. Ann’s, where tuition can cost over $60,000 per year, said it conducted a background check on Nguyen during the hiring process in 2020, just a year after he was released from Rikers.

The school defended its decision, stating that “a nonviolent criminal record may not preclude employment” if a candidate is deemed a good fit.
