A 41-year-old man, Romney Desronvil, has been arrested and charged with two counts of attempted homicide and two counts of risk of injury after allegedly trying to drown his two children under the age of three at a beach in West Haven, Connecticut.

The incident occurred around 2:30 AM on Saturday morning, with a police officer witnessing the man “deliberately drowning his children” in the water.

Backup officers and rescue boats were called to the scene, and the children were pulled from the water and given emergency medical treatment before being transported to the hospital in critical condition.

The shocking incident has shaken the local community, with authorities working to determine the motive behind the father’s alleged actions.

The children remain in an intensive care unit as they receive treatment. The case serves as a tragic reminder of the importance of vigilance and intervention when it comes to the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children.
