A Gulf Breeze, Florida, plastic surgeon, Dr. Ben Brown (40), is facing second-degree felony homicide charges after his wife, Hillary Brown (33), died on his operating table during a cosmetic procedure in November. The incident has raised serious concerns about the lack of oversight in private surgical practices.

Investigation Reveals Disturbing Details

According to state health officials, Hillary, who reportedly had a concerning obsession with cosmetic surgery, was actively participating in her own procedure at Dr. Brown’s private clinic, Restore Plastic Surgery. Investigators found a shocking lack of adherence to proper medical protocols, contributing to the tragic outcome.

Deteriorating Condition Ignored

Reports indicate that Hillary, under the influence of Valium, self-administered an unknown substance into her IV during the surgery, which included liposuction and facial fillers. She then experienced complications, including blurred vision and seizures.

Despite pleas from his staff and Hillary’s worsening condition, Dr. Brown allegedly delayed calling emergency services for 10–20 minutes. This delay resulted in severe brain damage from oxygen deprivation and ultimately led to Hillary’s coma and death a week later.

State Medical Board Condemns Dr. Brown’s Actions

The state medical board has severely criticized Dr. Brown’s actions, calling his treatment “careless” and “haphazard.” They claim his disregard for patient safety suggests he is unfit to practice medicine. Dr. Brown faces a life sentence if convicted.
