Boxing Champion and Rapper Face Lawsuit Over NYC Brawl

Box¬≠ing leg¬≠end Floyd May¬≠weath¬≠er and rap¬≠per Lil Uzi Vert have been hit with a law¬≠suit stem¬≠ming from an alleged street brawl that occurred in New York City last year. The law¬≠suit, filed by Abdul¬≠lah Ali, accus¬≠es Uzi and mem¬≠bers of May¬≠weath¬≠er‚Äôs ‚ÄúMon¬≠ey Team‚ÄĚ (TMT) of a bru¬≠tal assault.

Incident Details and Injuries

The alter¬≠ca¬≠tion report¬≠ed¬≠ly occurred near a New York hotel on June 27th, 2023, as a Rolls-Royce belong¬≠ing to May¬≠weath¬≠er was being unloaded. Ali alleges he was cross¬≠ing the street for a clos¬≠er look when he was con¬≠front¬≠ed by Uzi and TMT mem¬≠bers. He claims they assault¬≠ed him for over a minute, with mul¬≠ti¬≠ple peo¬≠ple inflict¬≠ing punch¬≠es and kicks.

Ali’s attorneys, Matthew Bilt and Michael Rose, allege their client suffered knocked-out teeth and required medical attention for various injuries.

Conflicting Statements and Ongoing Investigation

Lil Uzi Vert’s representatives have denied the rapper’s involvement. They claim Uzi has no affiliation with Mayweather or TMT and wasn’t present at the scene. Whether Mayweather himself participated remains unclear, with Ali’s attorneys not providing a definitive statement.

Despite a police report filed by Ali, no arrests were made. This lawsuit adds another layer to the ongoing controversies surrounding both Mayweather and Lil Uzi Vert. The case’s outcome will likely reveal more details about the alleged confrontation.
