After Joe Biden’s poor performance in his debate against Donald Trump, former White House insiders are speaking out about the President’s cognitive abilities.

Chandler West, who served as deputy director of White House photography from 2021–2022, wrote on Instagram that Biden is “not as strong as he was just a couple of years ago.”

West claims Biden’s debate struggles were “not the first bad day” and will “not be the last.” He stated it is “time for Joe to go.” Reports indicate White House staffers have been shielding Biden from unscripted interactions with the press and public in a potential attempt to hide his cognitive decline.

Vice President Kamala Harris avoided directly answering concerns about Biden’s daily functioning raised by CNN host Anderson Cooper. When questioned what Biden is like every day after the debate, Harris deflected and did not address his mental acuity.

Current and former White House aides also revealed that Biden’s handlers, including his wife Jill Biden, have been protective of the president and attempting to prevent any discussions of his health issues emerging since he took office.

There have been multiple instances where Jill and her aides appeared to abruptly shield Biden from potentially difficult public situations.

A new poll found 72% of voters now believe Biden lacks the mental fitness for another presidential term, a seven point increase from earlier in June before the damaging debate performance.

Former physician to Congress and the White House, Ronny Jackson, has regularly pointed to Biden showing signs of cognitive decline. He believes the president’s debate “prep” was actually an attempt to adjust his drug regimen correctly.

With insider accounts and polling signaling growing concerns about Biden’s mental state, pressure is mounting on whether he can continue competently serving out his term until 2024 or if drastic measures may need to be considered.
