Seeking Justice for Rasir: A West Virginia man is behind bars after pleading guilty to the heartbreaking death of a 3‑year-old boy, Rasir Jameir Oliver, in Jefferson County back in 2020.

Taking Responsibility (Kind Of): Keith Kennedy-McLeod (36) entered an Alford plea, acknowledging his punishment without admitting guilt. This move secured him a 10-year prison sentence for first-degree manslaughter.

A Horrific Discovery: Little Rasir suffered through unimaginable abuse. He was hospitalized in late 2020 with severe burns and blunt force trauma. Sadly, he didn’t survive his injuries.

The Pieces Fall into Place: Investigators uncovered disturbing details. Kennedy-McLeod, who was dating Rasir’s mom, admitted to shaking the child and being the one who bathed him.

A Mother’s Anguish: Rasir’s mom tragically believed he was unharmed when she left him in Kennedy-McLeod’s care.

Justice Prevails: The Jefferson County Coroner ruled Rasir’s death a homicide. Kennedy-McLeod ultimately confessed to causing the child’s death through abuse.
