A Kentucky couple, Tiffany McCord (34) and Thomas Parker (30), were arrested in Madisonville after police discovered their baby in a horrifying situation.

Officers responded to reports of suspicious activity on Friday and located the couple entering an abandoned house.

Parker fled the scene, leaving McCord and the baby behind. A search of the stroller revealed a disturbing sight: the child was sitting on a pile of live maggots, with drug paraphernalia and suspected synthetic drugs found nearby, including medication for the infant.

The baby’s welfare became a priority as an ambulance was called to address their medical needs. The following day, Parker was apprehended on an outstanding warrant.

While claiming to be the child’s father and sharing responsibility with McCord, he denied ownership of the drugs. He admitted to partially cleaning the stroller but denied knowledge of its condition.

McCord faces serious charges including drug trafficking, wanton endangerment, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both parents are currently in custody with a court date scheduled for June 7th.
