The Mil­wau­kee com­mu­ni­ty is search­ing for answers after the trag­ic mur­der of 19-year-old Sade Robin­son. But sad­ly, Sade isn’t the only one missing.

Here’s the lat­est on miss­ing women in Mil­wau­kee and how YOU can help:

The Dis­ap­pear­ance of Sade Robinson

In ear­ly April, Sade Robin­son van­ished. A friend report­ed her miss­ing after she did­n’t show up to work and stopped answer­ing calls. Just days lat­er, the news hit us all hard: Sade was found mur­dered. A sus­pect is in cus­tody, but this does­n’t erase the pain.

Still Miss­ing: A Call to Action

At least 3 oth­er women remain miss­ing in Mil­wau­kee County.

  • Ayan­na Krzyzanows­ki: A Black teenag­er last seen in March 2023.
  • Joni­ah Walk­er: A Black teenag­er with a his­to­ry of men­tal ill­ness who van­ished in June 2022.
  • San­dra Eck­ert: A 73-year-old woman who dis­ap­peared from Franklin in March 2021.

Miss­ing White Woman Syn­drome: A Harsh Reality

Data shows Black women and girls are dis­pro­por­tion­ate­ly rep­re­sent­ed in miss­ing per­son cas­es. This is known as “miss­ing white woman syn­drome,” where media atten­tion often over­shad­ows cas­es involv­ing women of color.
