The Milwaukee community is searching for answers after the tragic murder of 19-year-old Sade Robinson. But sadly, Sade isn’t the only one missing.

The Disappearance of Sade Robinson
In early April, Sade Robinson vanished. A friend reported her missing after she didn’t show up to work and stopped answering calls. Just days later, the news hit us all hard: Sade was found murdered. A suspect is in custody, but this doesn’t erase the pain.
Still Missing: A Call to Action
At least 3 other women remain missing in Milwaukee County.
- Ayanna Krzyzanowski: A Black teenager last seen in March 2023.
- Joniah Walker: A Black teenager with a history of mental illness who vanished in June 2022.
- Sandra Eckert: A 73-year-old woman who disappeared from Franklin in March 2021.
Missing White Woman Syndrome: A Harsh Reality
Data shows Black women and girls are disproportionately represented in missing person cases. This is known as “missing white woman syndrome,” where media attention often overshadows cases involving women of color.
