In a developing story, Mint Butterfield, the missing 17-year-old daughter of Slack co-founder Stewart Butterfield, has been found safe after a search.

Christopher “Kio” Dizefalo, a 26-year-old man who identified himself as Butterfield’s “adult friend,” was discovered with her in a van in San Francisco and is now facing kidnapping charges.

Dizefalo has been arrested, booked at the Marin County Jail, and is currently being held on a $50,000 bail. While the investigation is still ongoing, authorities have expressed relief at finding Butterfield safe and unharmed.

This case has drawn significant attention due to Butterfield’s connection to Stewart Butterfield, the CEO of Slack and a prominent figure in the tech industry.

As more details emerge, it’s clear that the situation could have had a much worse outcome, and the community is grateful for the safe return of Mint Butterfield.
