A former Mississippi state trooper named Ivana Williams, 36, has been fired from her law enforcement job after she secretly filmed a sexual encounter with another woman and then shared the video with her male colleagues.

The unnamed woman who was recorded has now sued Williams in federal court, alleging that she was sexually assaulted and unaware she was being filmed. The petition claims Williams recorded the encounter without the woman’s knowledge or consent, and then proceeded to share the video with other troopers.

Williams has countersued, arguing the encounter was consensual and that the decision to fire her was retaliatory and discriminatory. She claims other male officers have done similar things without facing termination. The former trooper also alleges the woman has damaged her reputation by claiming she was assaulted.

The legal battle highlights the serious consequences that can arise from non-consensual recording and distribution of intimate videos. The case has resulted in Williams’ dismissal from the Mississippi Highway Patrol and sparked a high-stakes lawsuit between the two women involved.
