Mom Sounds Alarm as Kids Critically Burned in Fire Remain Hospitalized

A mother’s anguish continues as her three young children fight for their lives after a horrific Brooklyn apartment blaze.

Found unconscious by FDNY heroes, the kids — aged 4 to 8 — remain sedated and on ventilators, unable to breathe on their own, their mom revealed. “As long as they’re breathing, I am breathing,” she stated, keeping vigil at their bedsides. Neighbors recall the chaos, with black smoke pouring from the high-rise unit.

Authorities allege the children’s father had abandoned them for groceries, charging him with endangering the welfare of a child. But one local isn’t satisfied, questioning how he could leave kids so small for even a moment.

As investigators work to determine the fire’s cause, this shaken mom remains their children’s unwilling rock. Only time will tell if these little victims can overcome injuries in a tragedy that has rattled the community.
