Multiple Stabbings, Slashing Incidents Rock Manhattan in Early Morning Rampage

A wave of vio­lence swept across Man­hat­tan ear­ly Mon­day morn­ing, leav­ing mul­ti­ple peo­ple injured in three sep­a­rate incidents.

The most seri­ous attack involved a 21-year-old man who was attacked out­side The Gut­ter L.E.S. bowl­ing alley around 1:40 AM. 

He sus­tained a stab wound to the neck and a cut to the head dur­ing a brawl with three men. The vic­tim, ini­tial­ly list­ed in crit­i­cal con­di­tion, is now sta­ble at Belle­vue Hos­pi­tal. The sus­pects remain at large.

Around the same time, a 37-year-old man was stabbed in the tor­so near the Jav­its Cen­ter in Hud­son Yards. He is also recov­er­ing at Belle­vue in sta­ble con­di­tion. Police seek a male and female sus­pect who fled the scene.

Just hours ear­li­er, a 23-year-old man was slashed on his fin­gers and tased dur­ing a brawl with three oth­ers in Mid­town. He sus­tained non-life-threat­en­ing injuries and received treat­ment at Bellevue.

The NYPD is inves­ti­gat­ing the motives behind these attacks, which occurred with­in a two-hour win­dow across dif­fer­ent Man­hat­tan neigh­bor­hoods. This rash of vio­lence has height­ened con­cerns about pub­lic safe­ty in the city.
